Recall of Tommee Tippee Cherub Comforter and Soft Rim Comforters

Jackel Pty Ltd has initiated an immediate, voluntary product recall of its Tommee Tippee Cherub Comforter (433286/1 & 433287/1) and Tommee Tippee Soft Rim Comforter (432523 & 432524). Other Tommee Tippee products are unaffected by this recall.

A handful of the Cherub Comforters have a hairline crack in the shield while a few of the Soft Rim Comforters, when opened, displayed tears on the silicone teat.

Tommee Tippee has appealed to anyone with used, opened or unopened Cherub Comforters and Soft Rim Comforters to return them free post to Jackel Pty Ltd, Reply Paid 67, Rydalmere NSW BC 1701, and include their name and return address for a full refund or replacement Comforter.

Said Sandy Archer, Jackel’s owner: “We have had no reports of injuries or any harm as a result of the Cherub and Soft Rim Comforters. However, the safety of our customers is our primary concern and for this reason we have commenced a voluntary recall of these products.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to parents and carers. We have been selling Tommee Tippee baby products in Australia for over 50 years and we take our duty to supply quality products very seriously.

“We are working closely with the ACCC in line with their recommendations for a voluntary recall. As such we have placed recall notification adverts in the national and state newspapers. We will also inform consumers via our website www.tommeetippee.com.au and social media platforms.

“Despite the fact that these products have not resulted in any reported injuries, parents and carers should immediately remove the Comforters from children and return them to us for a refund or replacement.”

Tommee Tippee expects to have the Cherub Comforter back on shelves within 3 months. The Soft Rim Comforter is at the end of its product lifecycle and will be discontinued.

The freecall number is 1800 108 454 or you can e mail to safety@jackel.com.au.
The address for returns is: Jackel Pty Ltd, Reply Paid 67, Rydalmere NSW BC 1701. Customers need to include their name and a return address.
